We will accommodate you as we are a proud ministry partner for wellness in Christ and we are partnered with local churches and ministries throughout the South and Central Montgomery County area.
  • Why choose a Christian counselor?
The worldview of a Christian counselor is different than other counselors. At Woodforest Counseling, we understand that we cannot have true healing apart from Christ. For that reason, we are mindful of where a client is spiritually and how that will impact their current situation, and we are always seeking to integrate God’s word into what we say and do.
  • Can I use my Flex Spending account (or HSA) to pay?
Please see http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p502.pdf for detailed information on what is and what is not a qualified expense. But, in general mental health fees are permissible to use these accounts to pay.
  • Are parents allowed in teen sessions?
Typically, the first session is with the parent and teen. After that, we generally see the client for three or four sessions before inviting the parent in for a debrief.
  • Is it possible to overcome addictions with the help of Bible-based Christ-centered counseling?
Bible-based counseling provides a Jesus-centered approach to addiction recovery, emphasizing the power of God's love and support in breaking free from addictions. We also use step programs and emphasize the need for each of us to be in a loving community to heal.
  • How do I find hope in times of despair through Bible-based counseling?
Biblical counseling can help you explore your faith and discover the hope and comfort that comes from a relationship with God, even in the darkest of times.
